SKL is a limited company registered in Greece and based in Levadia, a city 120km (75mi) north of Athens and Piraeus. Its premises are located next to the town's rail station, on the main thoroughfare leading to the motorway. Levadia lies on the edge of the Kopais basin, once the largest lake of Greece, and now a fertile plain with a long tradition in growing cereals and cotton.
SKL is active in the processing, storage and trading of agricultural products, primarily cotton, maize and wheat. In addition to absorbing the produce of the local farmers, the company's retail shop also supplies them with essential agricultural inputs: seeds, fertilizers and pesticides. SKL's assets, all owned outright, include a cotton gin with an annual capacity of 35,000 tons of seed cotton, 30,000m² of storage space (a quarter of which ventilated), grain dryers capable of processing up to 600 tons per day, as well as a range of auxiliary equipment. During peak periods, the company employs more than 70 people.
